Canadian indie band BLUE DIRT GIRL released their new album ’No Street Signs No Straight Lines’ on June 21st, 2023.

Blue Dirt Girl’s sound is modern soul. 

The day the album released, L.A.based ROUND Magazine published a review:

“the band crafted a subtly unique blend of musical styles, roping in funk, country, saloon blues, folk, even touches of psychedelia.

The result is oddly familiar, yet refusing to ever settle into a single retro style; a sound which is old and new at once.”

An example is Song Of The Crawdads which mixes ethereal steel guitar and analog electronics to create one of the most distinctive sounds, half blues but with a dash of Pink Floyd.”  

Since the album’s June release the band released both lyric videos for:  ‘5 Miles Out’  ‘Speculate’ and  ‘STC’. and a video compilation for their 

April to September Album live release shows throughout BC, Canada.

Blue Dirt Girl performs as a duo with Kathryn Sutherland on lead vocals/electric guitar and Albert Klassen on bass/harmonies or as 

trio with Tony Lee on drums or Dan Ponich on keys, synthesizer and additional guitar.
