Unsigned BC started as a local hip-hop podcast in November 2020, and quickly expanded to become a radio program featuring all genres. We are currently broadcasting all genres from artists in or from BC on Vancouver’s Co-op Radio CFRO 100.5FM,
Tuesdays @ 9:00PM and Saturdays @ 4:00PM
Our radio content comes in a variety of forms. Historically, our most common episodes are review episodes, in which Brandon and Sean or a special guest listen to 6-10 songs and give their thoughts on them. Recently the majority of our episodes have been based on the format used in commercial radio, with successive songs and information on each song between sets.

The show is produced and hosted by Brandon, who also handles the Instagram account and the website. In the first season Brandon is occasionally joined by his best friend Sean as a co-host to create dozens of hours of commentary on songs. In the second season Sean is replaced by Kait, Brandon’s wife at the time.

In addition to support from Sean and Kait, Brandon has relied on the help of volunteer artists at live events, like the artist pictured above.
As much as we do love traditional FM radio, it’s not all that we do. In 2021 we organized and hosted two $5,000 virtual showcase of local hip-hop talent. Click the image below to see both showcases!
