Atlin Morgan

Raised in the Vancouver area by a folk singer mother and vocally trained by an opera singer father, Atlin Morgan was surrounded by music from birth. She began writing music and experimenting with harmonies and layers in elementary school using two tape recorders to create a crude multi-track system. This early exploration formed the basis for her current sound. (She prefers her computer's modern DAW but still has a soft-spot for tape recorders )

Atlin received a music degree with the aim of becoming a classical singer, but after hearing Radiohead's OK Computer, she was so inspired that she changed her career path to write and sing her own music instead.

Full-time motherhood and running a business delayed her solo music career for many years, but last year, she finally begun to whole-heartedly pursue her long-time dream of recording an album and establishing a professional career as a singer/songwriter/composer.

She writes for and sings in a number of styles including alternative rock, pop, jazz, blues, musical theatre and choral. She's known for her strong use of melody with movie-theme elements, unusual chord progressions, and clear singing voice.
